Day 1 11/1Blood Typing: Today we will begin our discussion of blood and the components of blood. We will also look into what antigens determine blood type and how to type blood. Finally we will discuss how to determine if a substance is blood, if it is human blood, and how to package evidence with blood.

Day 2 11/3Blood Spatter: We will discuss the different spatter patterns that can be created, such as, but not limited to: surface texture on shape of spatter, passive drips, arterial spurts, and swipes. As well as the velocity in which the spatter was created. You will also be able to calculate the angle a blood drop hits in relation to the perpendicular and the estimated height the blood originated from.

Day 3 11/8"WhoDunit" Simulated Blood Typing. Today in class you will complete a simulated blood typing activity, to discover the blood type of the victim, 4 possible suspects, and who was at the crime scene. This lab will be completed using goformative.
|
Day 4 11/10Investigating Blood Spatter: You will preform a series of labs to investigate the effects of height, angle, pooling, and velocity on blood spatter.

Day 7 11/29Blood Spatter in the Cabin: In this simulation you will have to determine the origin of the blood spatter created in the cabin and how many people were present.
